L.P. Murray & Sons has the expertise, knowledge and experience to work on the Casco Bay Islands. We’ve made hundreds of barge trips over the years with equipment, dump trucks and aggregate. We are equipped to handle the tide restrictions, barging and scheduling hardships required for island work. Our 34-foot Young’s Brothers boat, used to transport the crew, enables us to customize and maximize the time working on the island and on your project. Our list of completed projects on the island range from a three-lot subdivision, house lot site packages, seawalls, road work, road grading and septic system installation.

We’ve been in business for four generations and more than 72 years. Our family company was started in 1946 by Leland “Big Jim” Murray. Early on the company specialized in earth work and blasting services (one of only two companies doing so in Maine). The company built a reputation for hard work and honesty.
